​I’m Carmen, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN), Registered Health Coach, Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist, and Transformation Specialist with over 30 years of experience in health, fitness, and behaviour change. Through STRONGHER, I support women in midlife and beyond to rebuild their health with clarity, confidence, and consistency.... not pressure, perfection, or fear.

"I know what it’s like to hit 40 and suddenly feel like your body has changed the rules, low energy, poor sleep, brain fog, shifting cycles, and a sense that motivation just isn’t there anymore. As menopause approaches, it can feel even harder to keep up with the wellness routines that once felt effortless.

After years in fitness competitions where leanness and appearance were the focus, I had to put my ego aside and shift my attention to what truly mattered: how I felt, how I lived, and how I supported my body day to day. I slowed down, built patience, became more self-aware, and let go of using the scale as a measure of my health or worth.
​
By focusing on behaviours instead of outcomes, my body responded. With the right support, I not only regained strength, clarity, and energy, I was able to join the University of Toronto Track Club (Masters) at age 55, something I never would have imagined during the height of my menopausal transition.

My Story
I don’t believe women need fixing.
I believe they need better tools, better support, and a better understanding of their own bodies and behaviours.

My work is rooted in a behaviour-first approach. That means we don’t start with rigid plans, rules, or extremes. We start with how you live, what’s getting in the way, and what actually fits your real life. Because lasting change doesn’t come from willpower, it comes from understanding patterns, removing barriers, and building sustainable habits that evolve with each phase of life.

I specialize in supporting women through perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause, helping them navigate the physical, emotional, and mental shifts that come with aging, without confusion, shame, or overwhelm. My approach blends science backed nutrition, movement, and lifestyle strategies with compassionate coaching that honours the whole person, body, mind, and nervous system.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked as a coach, educator, speaker, team leader, and advocate, supporting thousands of people to take ownership of their health, reduce their risk of chronic illness, and reconnect with their strength, physically and emotionally. I’m deeply committed to reframing aging as a rebuild, not a decline.

STRONGHER is about learning how to work with your body, not against it, and building a foundation that supports longevity, vitality, and self-trust at every stage.
​
Outside of my professional work, I’m a lifelong lover of movement, creativity, art, music, animals, and time in nature, all of which deeply inform how I see health: not as a checklist, but as a way of living fully and intentionally.
